It was one of two Tom noticed during a

Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Exemplification ceremony

on October 15, 2022. 

The Center is near the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.  

Tom noted that Pope John Paul II

canonized Saint Maximilian Kolbe on October 10, 1982.

K3RMW Bill Lamay wrote: This was on the inside of the last page of "Mysterious Ways - More Than Coincidences," a publication of Guideposts Magazine. The publication comes out every two months and has many interesting and uplifting article of miracles, etc.

Joseph wrote:

Block 11 served as the “prison in the prison" building where St Max’s cell is located on lower subground level.
 
Execution wall outside of Block 11, Kolbe cell located in lower level of building on the right.
In many places of the memorial, photos are not allowed, in order to preserve decorum and to maintain honor for those who perished. Selfies are discouraged/not allowed for the same reason.
We did see the Kolbe cell and said prayers including offering one for the St Max net members.
Block 17 where Kolbe was held prior to transfer to starvation in Block 11.  Both Kolbe and Gajowniczek were held in Block 17.
